We kindly ask you to be aware of the below, which is important for the constant function of your security system - and for your safety. Please make sure that Alarma Universal S.A. is informed about all relevant contact persons and telephone numbers as well as if there are any changes.
Should you decide to change bank or account number, please remember to inform us, as problems and costs often occur due to oversight.
We recommend that you sign a standing bank order with our company – without it we cannot take upon us to solve problems with electricity and telephone companies. Furthermore, we cannot make any repairs of the security system or hire any craftsmen on your behalf after burglary. Alternatively, you need to inform us of contact persons who can take upon them the responsibility and payment of the necessary measures for securing your property.
In case there is not sufficient funds in your bank account to settle the invoice due, the service and turn outs from the control centre will automatically stop within 30 days from date of invoice.
If persons outside your household have had access to the keys for your property or business, you should change the door lock as well as the code for the alarm system.
In case we do not have the correct key for your property we cannot carry out the necessary assignments of service unless we have been informed about a contact person, who carries the key and can act upon your behalf.
We recommend that you have your connection and disconnection signal coded into your security system, thus making it possible to control when and by whom the alarm has been connected and disconnected.
In conformity with legislation all security systems must be connected to an approved control centre through a fixed telephone line or a mobile transmitter. A radio transmitter is no longer sufficient and in case of burglary the radio connection may cause problems in relation to your insurance company.
We recommend that you sign a V.I.P. service contract covering all repairs on your security system.

If you do not have a V.I.P. service contract and repairs are being made on your security system, we will send you an invoice for the repair and within 30 days from date of invoice we will automatically withdraw the payment from your bank account.
If your security system has remote control or wireless detectors, please arrange for the batteries to be changed once a year depending on consumption. Also remember to test your alarm system on a current basis. Please contact us before testing.
An alarm system attached through the telephone network sends signals to the control centre. These will appear on your telephone bill. Please contact the control centre immediately if your telephone is out of order. We use a so-called virtual telephone number (902 … …) to receive signals from your alarm system, ensuring that the control centre is always able to communicate with your alarm system, whilst conventional telephone numbers can be sabotaged. Furthermore, a 902 number can easily redirect signals to other lines or to a backup central at another geographical location.
For your own safety it is important to inform us about absence of long durations from your property.
